OP (Raphanus sativus). This historic French heirloom dates back as far as pre-1885. It has a mild, spicy flavor, and a stunning red top with a white bottom. Its distinctive elongated shape makes it an attractive gourmet variety. 28 days to maturity, likes Full sun. Sprouts in 3-6 days. Ideal Temperature: 50-75 F. Plant Spacing: 2". Frost Hardy. They are elongated and oblong, typically measuring between 5 to 10 centimeters in length. The skin is thin, smooth, and showcases a two-toned nature of fuchsia-red hues with white tips. The flesh is white, dense, and crisp with a crunchy, snap-like consistency. They have a mild, earthy, and slightly peppery flavor. When cooked, they develop a subtly sweet, nutty, and mellow taste.
